In the internet streaming industry internet security is a big issue. The one thing that alot of people ask about is how to open a port so they can stream through there router but still keep there internal network secure.

Being that there are so many different types of routers the methods used to forward ports changes from router to router, some being easier then others. Below is a link to a site which lists the most popular router models as well as a walkthrough of how to open ports to allow traffic to flow through the router.

Keep in mind that when the router software changes or is updated the guide may not appear the same as it does when you are going through your router. If this is the case you may have to contact your router supplier to get an updated manual. Another thing to keep in mind is, even though a router says it can port forward there is a chance that the router is set to dissallow this action. If you run into this problem you will have to contact the maker of the routers customer support in order to find a way to bypass this.
